Welcome to the show notes for the Niles episode of Season 2 of Café Nervosa. We hope you enjoy the podcast!
Podcast Episode Synopsis: We go deep with Skinny Elmer Fudd and talk about the considerable talents of David Hyde Pierce.
We will keep mentioning how great the episode “Breaking the Ice” is until you watch it. And, because we don’t know if you have watched it, we will just keep talking about it.
If you haven’t seen David Hyde Pierce fence in “An Affair to Forget” you are missing out on some extremely well executed choreography and action in a sitcom. It is impressive. Side note about DHP: Lauren and I ALMOST got to see this legend on Broadway, but he had left the production of Hello, Dolly! before we got there. Don’t worry, we’ll bring this up later in the series when the man who replaced him in that show appears up in Frasier. Basically what I am saying is we are nearly best friends with David Hyde Pierce.
Can anyone tell me if the sack of flour as parenting test thing is real? I seriously want to know. But I also don’t want to do the work to find out. You come and tell me. Thanks.
Lauren is doing a bang up job of pretty much exclusively talking about good scenes that are primarily visual. She loves a challenge and does a great job of it.
I poke the bear and nearly send Lauren off on a rant about low quality chocolate. I am glad I don’t have to apologize because she thankfully does not, and I applaud her self-control. I have sat through many a chocolate-based rant from her.
